Festival 'Between Heaven and Earth' is a Jerusalem brand that connects the world of contemporary modern dance with the world of Jewish and Israeli renewal.

Like the city of Jerusalem, the festival produces connections between traditional and modern, between Jewish sources and current Israeli culture, and between Israeliness and universality - connections that create new and refreshing worlds of content, and illuminate both art and tradition in a new light.

This year, the festival presents dance works that deal with issues of immigration and identity, multicultural representation, belonging and location in diverse Israeli society.

The festival's activities contribute to the establishment of Jerusalem as the cultural capital of Israel and its continued growth is important and welcome. The Jerusalem Municipality will continue to support the activities of the center between heaven and earth in recognition of its unique cultural value as a Jerusalem brand that offers a young and innovative narrative and operates in the city with the desire that its various communities will feel at home.

A festival between Heaven and the 11th Land brings the intricate physicality of the immigrants, the sons of the immigrants and their grandchildren, revealing the erased pages and the drawings left on paper. The works on display at the festival, all of which are premiered, work in front of and in connection with memory, longing, belonging, stories that are told implicitly or shouting, resisting or seeking to return to the home of grandparents.
